Daily revision method

A simple daily revision method for better memory

Students remember more when revision is short, regular, active, and focused on correcting weak points before tests.

Daily revision steps parents can track

Step 1

Revise the same day

Ask the child to revise what was taught in school or tuition on the same day. Same-day revision makes chapters easier to remember later.

Step 2

Keep revision short

A useful daily revision slot can be 20 to 40 minutes. The goal is consistency, not making the child sit for long hours every day.

Step 3

Use active recall

Instead of only rereading, ask the child to close the book and explain definitions, formulas, diagrams, steps, or key points from memory.

Step 4

Correct one weak area

Pick one small weak point daily: a formula, spelling, diagram, grammar rule, theorem, or question type. Small repairs become strong revision over time.

Step 5

Revise mistakes again

Use the mistake notebook twice a week. Repeated wrong answers need repeated correction before tests and exams.

Step 6

End with a quick check

Finish revision with three to five short questions. This helps parents see whether the child has really understood the topic.
